Arts Denman
In 1985 the Denman Island Arts & Crafts Society was formed by a group of dedicated islanders and established as a nonprofit society with charitable status. In 2004 the name was changed to Arts Denman. Arts Denman is at the forefront of encouraging arts on the island and presently supports 8 partner organizations and projects.
Arts Denman Mission Statement
- To foster the development of cultural activities and facilities for Denman Island and surrounding area.To provide gallery and performance space for Denman Island artists and artisans.
- To develop educational programs and facilities on Denman Island for the arts and crafts.
- Since 1985 Arts Denman has made significant contributions to the creative growth and cultural development of the Denman Island community by producing events in visual arts, spoken word, music, dance, and theatre.
- The community has shown dedication and support through many volunteer hours and generous donations.
