DESCRIPTION:There are 3 events in one tonight. The first is a short skit animating the history of the thirty year anniversary of Denman Island’s independent bookstore\, Abraxas. See Tachi\, Juan and Stewart perform a condensed history and celebration of the characters who kept Abraxas alive all those years. \nThe second event\, included in your payment of $15 is a reading from Edward Slingerland\, the highly celebrated author of Drunk: How We Sipped\, Danced and Stumbled Our Way to Civilization\, described on the left of this page. \nThe next set of tickets is for the Slingerland Reading and wine tasting event combined (for $35). The Wine Tasting Soirée is entitled “7 Countries and the wines that made them famous!“.
