In 2004 a group of local residents formed an organization called the Village House Project to purchase Dora Drinkwater’s former home and preserve it as an arts facility for the community.
In May 2006 this renovated heritage property “at the top of the ferry hill” was leased to Arts Denman as the Arts Centre. After three years of hard work Arts Denman was able to buy the property thanks to wonderful support from the local community and generous grants. The Arts Centre is a community resource and home to our Summer Art Gallery, studio groups, art shows, and other special events.
